We've been open since August 17th of 2009, and we can boast 500 consignors already! We owe a big thank you to our consignors for helping to make our store such a success!
Remember, as a consignor, your rewards don't stop at the money you make when your items sell -- you can also get a 10% discount on purchases when using at least $10 of your account balance! You can even combine this discount with other offers, such as our popular coupons, to receive even greater savings!
Consignor Contract
When you become a consignor, we ask you to read and sign our consignor contract. This contract outlines how we consign as well as other important information, such as pick-up deadline, how we price the items, etc. Below are a few bullet points included in our Consignor Contract:
Terms of Contract
Items:
- No appointment is necessary, but no later than 1 hour prior to closing time.
- We accept clothing sizes starting at pre-teen 10/12 through young adult as well as trendy women and men sizes.
- We accept purses, accessories, belts and some jewelry.
- All items must be in like-new condition, trendy and clean.
- We will only accept name brand items of the highest quality; our staff may not accept items due to stains, unpleasant odors, pet hairs, tears, missing buttons, defects of any kind or yard sale stickers. The Hanger staff can refuse items for any reason, even if the defect is found after initially accepting the item (in which case it will automatically be donated).
- The Hanger staff will review items immediately, based on time allowed.
- Items will be consigned for 90 days. After 30 days, items may be reduced up to 50%. After 90 days, unsold items may be picked up or they become property of The Hanger.
- Consignor will not be notified if unsold items remain. It is consignor's responsibility to pick up items within 7 days of 90-day period. Items may not be collected on demand; consignor must call to make pick-up arrangements.
- The Hanger is not responsible for vandalism, theft, or any damages caused by fire or other disasters.
- Prices are determined by The Hanger to sell your items at the most profitable price. General rule is 50-60% of retail, less age and style.
Perks:
- Consignors receive 40% of all items sold.
- Checks are issued as requested, cash may be picked up any time there is a balance, if over $25 we may write a check -- come with picture i.d.
- Store credits may be used at any time.
- Balances on accounts that have been inactive for 12 months or more will be forfeited.
